Meet Nora Campos
Raised in East San José’s Cassell neighborhood, Nora Campos has dedicated her life to fighting for working families, youth, and seniors. A proud graduate of William C. Overfelt High School and San Francisco State University, Nora served as a San José City Councilmember, State Assemblymember, and community advocate who always puts people ahead of politics.
She’s delivered real results — from expanding parks and youth programs to improving public safety and bringing state funding home to East San José.


Nora's Major Accomplishments
Delivered for East San José — Secured over $2 million for new parks and playgrounds for Hillview, Plata Arroyo, Lo Bue, Cassell, Flemming, San Antonio and Madden. She delivered $20 million for the Mayfield Community Center.
• Improved Transit & Infrastructure — Championed the Santa Clara–Alum Rock Bus Rapid Transit, Capitol Expressway Light Rail, and Eastridge Mall pedestrian projects.
• Fighting for Youth — Co-authored San José’s Bill of Rights for Children & Youth, ensuring every child has access to education, safety, and opportunity.
• Champion for Working Families — Stood against executive pay raises and fought to protect city workers, proving she’ll always side with working people.
